Plebeian: Common farmers,
artisans, and merchants who made up the majority of the population:
Tribune: They protected thee
rights of the plebeians from unfair act of patrician official.
Consul: they were kings
and could command the army and direct the government.
Senate: An aristocrat
branch of Rome government
Dictator: a leader who
has absolute power to make laws and command thee army.
Legion: Made up of 5,000 heavily
armed foot soldiers
Punic Wars: The War
fought between Rome and Carthage.
Hannibal: A brilliant military
strategist who wanted to avenge cartage’s earlier defense
