The generals who
commanded the force of Athens that eventually beat Sparta in the big battle on the
sea were all thrown away in prison by their very own community. The cause of this
was because they couldn’t recover the men who died in battle. In the eyes of
the people this was considered a big offense. Most of the Socrates we tempted
and then tried to fight against his power. The Socrates, and Sophists like
Protagoras, would’ve started questioning the annual beliefs after this point in
history but probably because of all the violence around them.
