today in class we discussed How Geographers Describe Where Things Are, weDefined the Geographic Grid, Latitude, Longitude, Parallels, Meridians we also Identified the major significant lines of latitude and longitude and we also Plotted absolute location on the geographic grid using latitude and longitude.

After that we talked about how The geographic grid is a system of imaginary arcs drawn in a grid pattern on Earth's surface. It allows us to pinpoint absolute location using latitude and longitude. after we discussed that we went into talking about Latitude and how it is a geographic coordinate that specifies the north–south position of a point on the Earth's surface.

Towards the middle of class we learned that Longitude is a geographic coordinate that specifies the east–west position of a point on the Earth's surface, or the surface of a celestial body. It is an angular measurement, usually expressed in degrees . And we also talked about how latitude is a geographic coordinate that specifies the north–south position of a point on the Earth's surface.

coming to the end of class we were shown the different. examples of map projection whether they were written on the board and the paper we were passed. we also talked a lot about the equator lines and different angles.
